Owensboro, KY., Dec. 21 -- Mrs. Zillie V. Austin, 78, died Saturday after a 15 year illness.
A native of Smith County, Tennessee, she had lived in Louisville for 45 years and in Owensboro for the past three years. She was employed at General Hospital, Louisville for nine years. She was a member of East Baptist Church, Louisville.
Suvivors include four daughters, Mrs. E.F. Rothenbush, Owensboro, Mrs. H. H. Blackwell and Mrs. Mae Gibson, both of Louisville, and Mrs. C.W. Meadows, Albuquerque, N.M., a sister, Mrs. Verdie Lynch, Elmwood, Tenn.; three brothers, A.O. Apple, Chattanooga, Tenn.; I.B. Apple, Great Falls, Mont.; and B.G. Apple, Seattle; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral willbe at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maas Funeral Home, Louisville, Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery there.
