TROY – Anita May Kimball, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Capital Living Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre in Schenectady. She was born in Troy on April 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Frederick and Gladys Ives Whitney. A lifelong resident of Troy, she worked as a waitress at the Mayflower Restaurant in Troy and most importantly was a homemaker raising her children and grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor, loved to dance and was very compassionate. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Stanley E. Kimball, Sr., her son, George Kimball, Sr., her brother Fred Whitney, Jr. and her sister, Joan Lewandowski who were all of Troy. The funeral procession will form on Friday at 9 am at the funeral home to proceed to the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery for a 10:30 am committal service.
