John V. D. Vliet
John V. D. Vliet, 71, died Saturday (February 12, 1938) in his home near Readington. He had been ill about one week of pnepmonia. Mr. Vliet was a son of the late William B. Vliet and Charity Smith. He lived in Pluckemin and Lamington before moving to Readington.
Mr. Vliet is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Vliet; three sons, Fred at home, Winfield, Vliettown and George, Maplewood; two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Prawl, Far Hills, and Mrs. Mabel Creveling at home; one brother, Theodore Vliet, Whitehouse; and three half-brothers, George of Elizabeth, Hardy of Flemington and Alvah of Somerville.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Lamington Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Whitehouse Methodist Cemetery.
