Funeral mass will be at 11AM Monday, March 13, 2006 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 3632 Wyoming Ave., Flint, Father James B. Bettendorf officiating. Interment at Gracelawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Flint Association of the Deaf Senior Citizens. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-4 and 6-9PM at the funeral home and Monday from 10-11AM at the church. A Scripture will be prayed at 7PM Sunday. Marianna was born July 17, 1913 in Sibley, MI. She was a member of the Flint Association of the Deaf Auxillary for 71 years and their oldest living member and a charter member of the F.A.D. Senior Citizens. She married Maldwyn Davies March 21, 1942 in Flint, MI. She is survived by her daughter, Melvena (Herb) Schlachter Of Walled Lake; grandsons, Gary (Gaye) Schlachter of Waterford, MI, John (Willow) Schlachter of Lakeville, MI; granddaughter, Mary Deacon of Lynchburg, VA; great-grandsons, Christopher (Amy) Schlachter, Matthew (Elizabeth) Deacon, Guy Schlachter; great-granddaughters, Andrea Deacon, Stephanie Deacon, Karen Schlachter, Eva Schlachter; grandson-in-law, Walter Deacon and granddaughter-in-law, Joyce Schlachter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maldwyn in 1984.
