Nora Ethel "Nodie" Flippo, 79, Downtown Kansas City, died April 29, 1991, at Lakeside Hospital. She was born in Linden, Tenn., and had lived in this area since 1951. Mrs. Flippo was a bookkeeper for the Krauner, Freeman, Krauner, Oberlander and Lampkin law firm from 1956 until she retired in 1962. She and her husband owned the Boots Motel in Carthage, Mo., in 1945 and 1946 and owned Gamble's stores in Webb City and Warrensburg in Missouri from 1947 to 1949. She was a real estate broker for L.J. Baer & Co. from 1951 to 1956. She was a member of Methodist Episcopal Church South, Mountain Home, Ark. She was past worthy matron of the Ivanhoe chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a son, Henry J. Flippo, and two sisters, Mary Hawver and Ida Turner, all of the home. Services will be a 1 p.m. Thursday at Newcomer's Stine & McClure Chapel; burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family requests no flowers and suggest contributions to a friend in need.
