Enned "ED" F. Johnson, age 76, of Canton passed away in Hanover House Nursing Facility on Sunday, February 13, 2005 following a brief illness. Born in Monroe County, Ohio on October 11, 1928 to the late George and Opal Johnson, he was a 1947 graduate of Lincoln High School and went to serve his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ed was employed by the Timken Company as an engineer, retiring in 1985 after 39 years of faithful service and was a member and past trustee of Mckinley Eagles Lodge #2370. Nothing met more to Ed than the time that he spent sharing his love with his family. His memory will be cherished as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Kinney and Phyllis (Liolios) Pertginides, brother, Everet Johnson and daughter-in-law Tracy Johnson. Survivors include two sons, David Rance Johnson of CA., Robert Johnson of Perry Twp., daughter, Lynn (Marvin) Guiler of Perry Twp., brother, Louis (Ruth Ann) Johnson of Perry, six grandchildren, Matthew Hall of NC., Marissa (Shaun) Riley of Massillon, Mike, Jason, and Kyle Johnson, Cassie Guiler and great grandson, Tyler Riley. There are many nieces and nephews also surviving. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2005 in the Reed Funeral Home with Burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
