Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Harvey Russell Collins, Sr., 87, 1505 Alabama St., who died Sunday, January 20, 1991. The Revs. Clark Pope and James Godbey will officiate. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with masonic graveside rites. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Collins was a native of Dekalb County and a resident of Etowah for the past 43 years. He was retired from Goodyear after 21 years of service. Mr. Collins was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Fort Payne Masonic Lodge No. 437.

He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Bugg, Atlanta, Ga; son Russell Collins, Jr, Geraldine; son-in-law, James Bugg; daughter in law, Janice Collins; grandchildren, Thomas Russell Bugg, Hershey, Pa, Phillip Russell Collins, Birmingham. and Lisa Jan Cross, Birmingham; great-grandaughter, Ashley Morgan Collins; special friend, Goldie Young.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Russell Bugg, Phillip Russell Bugg, Gary Elkins, George Likos, Bill Crosley, Charles Croley, Jackie Myers and Mason Cross.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Scott Vance, nurses and staff of ICU and sisters of Holy Name of Jesus Hospital.

The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
