Esther F. Arnold, 100, formerly of Peach Bottom, PA, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Harrison House Nursing Care facility in Christiana, PA. She was the widow of the late Walter A. Arnold who passed away in 1993.
Esther was born in Ashe County, NC, a daughter of the late Floyd and Virgie Jones Osborne.
Esther was a great cook, enjoying canning, and freezing her vegetables from her garden. She enjoyed visiting yard sales, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Esther is survived by 5 children; Barbara Ellington (David), Santee, CA, James Arnold, Peach Bottom, Raymond Arnold (Joanne), Peach Bottom, Betty Wilburn (Fred), Port Falls, ID, John Arnold (Doris), Loris, SC;13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Fred Osborne, West Brandywine, PA, William Osborne, Joppa town, MD; 3 nieces and 3 nephews. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Joey Plastino, and 2 brothers; Harold and Paul Osborne.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Friday, September 30, 2016, at 2:30 PM. Interment will be in the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:30-2:30 PM prior to the service.
