Johnson, Ilda, 95, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday May 13, 2000 at Vencor Hospital St. Petersburg.

Born in Beckley, West Virginia, she came here in 1959 from Huntington, West Virginia. In Huntington, she was a floral designer for Archers Flowers. While here, she was a gift wrap designer for Wilson-Chase and Montgomery Wards and sold hats and wigs for Webbs City. She was a member of Central Christian Church of Huntington and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved fishing, gardening and animals.

She is survived by a son, Roger Rowley, St. Petersburg; two grandsons: Robert Rowley, Dallas, TX and Michael Rowley, Memphis, TN; one granddaughter, Cathy Chappel, Huntington, WV; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.

Ilda married Lloyd O Skeen on the 27th day of July 1921 in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. The link to their marriage record at the West Virginia Archives. They appear to have have divorced soon after. Ilda became the wife of Galen Garrett Rowley about 1925, but no marriage record was found. They appear to have divorced by 1940.
