David Magnuson, 56, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 in his home in Canon City, CO. David was born November 8, 1959 in Webster City, IA. Growing up in Iowa, Colorado and Wisconsin, he graduated from Barron, WI in 1978. He married Crystal Hohlfeld, with whom he had two sons. He joined the Air Force, where he served 18 years before being honorably discharged. David is survived by his eldest son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Mari Magnuson; youngest son, Brandon Magnuson; parents, Orlan and Wanda Magnuson; brother, Gale (Mary) Magnuson; sister, Audrey (Barry) Hoff; sister, Lynette (Brett) Newton; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Axel and Tillie Magnuson; maternal grandparents, James and Jeanette Greenfield; eldest brother, Arlon James (Tracey) Magnuson; and niece, Rachael Newton. Graveside service, 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, Union Highland Cemetery, Florence, CO. Arrangements under the care of Holt Family Funeral Home.
