Mrs. Lila Mae Ainsworth Stubbs, age 84, beloved widow of the late James Harvey Stubbs, passed away peacefully, at her home after an illness.

Born in Marlboro County, SC, on October 24, 1931, she was the precious daughter of the late Thomas Leroy Ainsworth and Lillie Blanche Stubbs Ainsworth. She was formerly employed in textile as a brake assembler with Russell & H.K. Porter and later worked with J.P. Stevens in Wallace, SC. She faithfully attended the Bennettsville Church of God as often as her health would allow. Before her health declined, she loved cooking delicious meals for her family. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to whom she loved spending quality family time with all.

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her son, Ronald W. Stubbs, Sr. and wife Patricia of Bennettsville; Two grandsons Ron W. Stubbs, Jr. and wife Somer of Dillon and Ryan P. Stubbs and wife Jessica of Bennettsville; Six great grandchildren, Hunter C. Stubbs of Myrtle Beach, Logan G. Stubbs and Lucas G. Stubbs of Dillon, and Nicholas R. Stubbs, Aaron P. Stubbs and Makayla L. Stubbs of Bennettsville; Three nephews, Kenneth Ainsworth of Bennettsville, Billy Ainsworth and wife Cindy of Bennettsville, and Dennis Ainsworth and wife Linda of Greenville, NC; and Four great nieces and Two great nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday September 30, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Bennettsville Church of God with a visitation from 1:00pm to 2:00pm just prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Bennettsville, SC.

Mrs. Lila was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; and by a brother, Mr. W.M. Ainsworth.
