Paula J. Calhoun, age 53, of Hamilton, Ohio, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born May 2, 1963, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, the daughter of Russell and Ethel Vulhop Withorn. She received an associate degree from Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing. She married James C. Calhoun on July 16, 1988, in Fort Thomas. Paula worked as a registered nurse for Bethesda Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. She attended Hamilton Christian Center. Her proudest accomplishments were her three children. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by: her husband, James "Jim" Calhoun; three children, Zachary J. Calhoun (finance, Allison Graves), of Hamilton, Robert "Alex" Calhoun, of Hamilton, and Caitlyn Marie Calhoun, currently attending college in Valdosta, Georgia; her mother, Ethel Withorn, of Alexandria, Kentucky; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, at Hamilton Christian Center, 1940 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, with Pastor Curtis Moak officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Boulevard, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cleveland Clinic Brain Research, P.O. Box 931517, Cleveland, Ohio 44193-1655.
