PRESTON – John Arnold "Jack" Houston, 81, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita. Born June 2, 1935, at Hutchinson, he was the son of John Kenneth and Theo Ellen (King/Grider) Houston.

He was an Air Traffic Controller/flight instructor and served with the U.S. Air Force. On March 7, 1963, he married Patricia Allen at Hutchinson. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, John Todd Houston (Chris) of Topeka and Jeff Houston (Kristen) of McPherson; sister, Judith Avers (Jim) of Wichita; brother, Kenneth Houston (Deborah) of Broken Arrow, OK; six grandchildren.

Graveside service with Military Honors will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Stafford Cemetery.
