She was a former resident of San Diego and a retired teacher with the San Diego School District. She taught for many years at Dana Junior High School.
Beloved wife of the late Adam Messek. She was the sister of Maurine A. (the late James F. II) Boyle. Aunt of James F. (Sarah) Boyle III and Mary L. (Atty. Michael) Rick. Grandaunt of Sarah (Michael) Paul, Maurine A. Boyle, James F. IV, James M. (Mary Pat) Rick, Daniel T. Rick and Jennifer L. (Jeffrey) Opichka. Great-grandaunt of Edward M. and Alexander J. Opichka. She will be further remembered by other relatives and friends.
