Preceded in death by his sister, Janet MacDiarmid, surviving are his wife, Angela MacDiarmid; son, Steve MacDiarmid (from his first marriage to Doerte MacDiarmid); daughters, Stacy MacDiarmid (John) Davidson and Deidre (Craig) Shannon and grandchildren, Alannah, Leonie, Miller, Felix, Wells and Otis. Funeral services will be held October 10,2016 at St Richard's Episcopal Church in Winter Park, FL. Following the service, his ashes will be interred with military honors.
