Deloise (pronounced "Deloys") was born in Murray (Barre), Orleans, New York to Edwin and Parnella J. (Warner) Norton. He married Susanna Norris, daughter of Aaron and Margaret Norris, 7 October 1871 in Benton, Eaton, Michigan. They had at least three children: Archie J., Blanch Maggie, and Hazle Hugh. He died in Alba, Star Township, Antrim, Michigan.
