Charles was born May 31, 1927 in Cobb County and graduated from Acworth High School in 1946. During the Korean War, Mr. Bruce served with the U.S. Air Force at Godman AFB, Fort Knox, KY. and Manston Royal Air Force Station in England. After his military service, Mr. Bruce attended the University of Georgia, Marietta Campus Center and Georgia State University in Atlanta. He was previously employed by the Georgia National Guard in Marietta from 1954 – 1958 and then worked for Tumpane Company and other international companies in Turkey, Los Angeles, Spain and Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Mayo and Sallie Nix Bruce, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his brother James M. (Frances) Bruce and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
