Jerry was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on July 15, 1945, son of the late James and Olethra (Morris) Clark. He was a graduate of Croft High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Jerry worked as a machinist at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Cheshire before retiring in 2000. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and was considered by many to be a great philosopher. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his wife of 47 years of Naugatuck, he leaves a daughter, Kimberly C. Clark, of Waterbury; a son, Jason R. Clark and his partner, James M. Austin, of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; his brothers, James Clark and his wife, Lynette, of Monroeville, Pa., Joseph Clark and his wife, Omiagene, of Wolcott, Silvestre (Clark) Santos and his wife, Stephanie, of Bristol and Robert Clark and his wife, Amy, of Waterbury; two aunts, Ruth Seay and Margaret Moore, both of Waterbury; a sister-in-law, Idris Clark, of Waterbury; brothers-in-law Johnnie D. Lowe of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Timothy Cherry and his wife, Maliqua, of Newburgh, N.Y.; and his extended family, Linzy and Carolyn Lamar of Atlanta, Ga., several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was predeceased by a brother, William Clark.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 12 Noon until the service at 1:30 p.m.
