LAKE CITY - Funeral services for Wilda R. (Schoop) Ablett, 85, were held at 11 am Saturday, January 9, 1999 at the Church of Christ in Lohrville.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery near Lohrville.
Mrs. Ablett died Wednesday, January 6, 1999 at the Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City.
Wilda was raised and attended school in Lake City. On May 22, 1929, Wilda Stokes was united in marriage to Herman Schoop at Lake City. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Lohrville.
To this union were born five children. Herman passed away in 1940. On December 15, 1945, Wilda was married to Willis Ablett of Lohrville. The couple continued to make their home in Lohrville. Willis passed away in 1952.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, several brothers and sisters, a son: Robert Dean Schoop of Urbandale, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Survivors are her children, 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
