Born in Mayfield, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Kiehart Krenzalek. She was the last surviving of 13 children. She lived in the house she was born in all of her life. She worked as a seamstress in all the factories in Mayfield, and numerous factories in Jermyn, and Carbondale. She was a talented sewer, crocheter and maker of quilts and afghans.
She was a religious person who loved her Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and was brokenhearted when it closed. She was a member of St. Anne's Society and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was active in Sacred Heart's affairs and socials.
Agnes was an excellent homemaker, and was a baker of gourmet cakes and pies. She loved her flower garden and her pet cat, Kitty, and was deeply saddened by her loss. She enjoyed her Atlantic City trips with her husband.
Surviving are her son, Joseph J. Tomcavage, borough fire chief, Mayfield; and daughter, Anna M. Tomcavage, at home.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Battenberg Funeral Home, 363 Washington Ave., Jermyn, with Mass at 9:30 in St. Michael's Church, Simpson. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment, Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Mayfield.
