Nora R. Spencer, 104, of San Antonio, passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, in her home in San Antonio.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1911, to William and Leonarda (Vallez) Rogers in Miles, Texas, the seventh of nine children, Mary, Jasper, Cora, Johnny, Laura, Bill, Nora, Jimmy and Ann Rogers. Nora finished her schooling in the seventh grade and worked as a bookkeeper in the banking industry. On Sept. 26, 1973, she married Aubrey Spencer in Seguin.

Nora was loved and respected by everyone she came in contact with. She deeply cared for her family and friends. Her love for animals and nature was great. The most incredible ability Nora had was her memory. She never forgot a name, place or event. We were all astonished with her sharpness and quick wit. Everyone that met her without exception would walk away and say "She is amazing!" She will be greatly missed but we know that she is at her eternal home in Heaven with her husband, Spencer, brothers, sisters and loved ones.

Funeral service is at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel Burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
