William "Bill" Max Burk

William Max “Bill” Burk, 66, entered into eternal life Monday, October 3, 2016 at Texoma Medical Center.

Mr. Burk was born December 17, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas the son of Max Thomas “M.T” and Thelma (Matthews) Burk. Bill was an employee of Johnson & Johnson for 24 years. He ended his working career at Bells Independent School District where he loved the kids and the opportunity that he had through the district. He was very appreciative to the faculty and staff that were very supportive during his last years of working. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Denison, where he had been a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Mr. Burk leaves behind his beloved family, wife of 47 years, son and his wife, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Jeanette Allen.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Private interment will follow in Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Wilkerson, Danny Kelly, Dwayne Richie, David Henderson, Jim Meek and Ron Meek.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry Inc., P. O Box 908, Bellmawr, NJ 08099. Condolences may be registered online at www.fisherfh.com
