"John B. Baker an old time resident of this county, died this morning at 3 o'clock and will be buried tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. Deceased was 52 years old. He came here from California, about twenty years, or more ago. He leaves a wife [Mary] and one daughter."

Note: John Baker's first wife was Henrietta. This marriage ended in divorce. At the time of John's death he was married to Mary E. (Davis) Price-Stapp-Baker. Mary had used her maiden name on Yavapai County marriage records.
