SCRATCH CAUSES LOCKJAW;
FRANK MOONEY IS DEAD
Frank Mooney, the popular young farmer who has been ill for three days with lockjaw, died this afternoon a few minutes after 2 00. Although the physician pronounced his condition improved this morning, he later suffered a relapse. Death came to him at the home of his mother, Mrs. James Mooney, in Cooper township.
Lockjaw resulted from a small scratch on his head, received when he was thrown from a buggy while turning the corner of First avenue south and Third street two weeks ago. Three people were riding in a single seated rig. Mooney and another occupant were thrown to the pavement when the horses jumped. Until three days ago it was not known he had contracted lockjaw.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Mrs. James Mooney, mother of the young man is living as are the brothers and sisters whose names are John, Nellie, Ralph, Leo, Howard, Cathrynne and Margaret. Miss Nellie Mooney has been attending the Fort Dodge business college. Frank Mooney's father died about five years ago.
