Jerry L. Aagaard, 89, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at St. Catherine's, Pleasant Prairie.

Jerry was born Jan. 18, 1926, to Leif and Pearl (nee Sullivan) Aagaard in St. Louis, Mo. His early life was spent in Arendal, Norway. He attended Fishburne Military School. After his service in the Army, he married the love of his life, Doris Hendershot in Evanston, Ill. Following their marriage they resided in Wilmette, Ill. Doris passed away Oct. 11, 1994. Jerry had worked as a watchmaker at Lambrecht Jewelers in Wilmette. In 2002 Jerry relocated to the Salem area. He was an avid HAM Radio operator, enjoyed golfing, skiing and tinkering in his garage. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family; they meant the world to him.

Jerry is survived by his children, Dawn (Joe) Quagliano and Kevin (Sharon) Aagaard; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Anthony, April, Hope and Joseph Quagliano, Elizabeth Veith; and a great grandchild Lia Veith. He is further survived by his brother Leif (Teresa) Aagaard, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a daughter Brenda Aagaard.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Grand Prairie Rehab and the Doctors and staff at Aurora Medical Center.

Per Jerry's request, no services will be held.
