Mr. Hershel Ted Anderson, age 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. He was born February 17, 1948 in Laurel Hill, Florida to Claude and Lonell Jones Anderson.



Mr. Anderson was a resident of Destin, Florida originally from Candler, North Carolina. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the armed forces serving his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant. He was a Certified Dental Technician, owning and operating Anderson Dental Lab in Asheville, North Carolina for 40 years. He was a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Hapkido Karate. He was also an Ordained Minister, having served as an Evangelist. He enjoyed singing karaoke, going to car shows, and he also enjoyed bush hogging The Ponderosa. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and he was always willing to help others.



Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Ty Jared Anderson, brother Dwight Anderson and sister Helen Tyner.



Mr. Anderson is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Lucy Dianne Anderson of Destin, Florida, three sons Robbie Ted Anderson of Ashville, North Carolina, Mark Stuart Anderson of Candler, North Carolina, and Lucas Justin Anderson of Destin, Florida, one brother QP Anderson and wife Elaine of Hendersonville, North Carolina, one sister Caron Williams and husband Willie of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, and four grandchildren Kylie Grace Anderson. Cole Orrin Anderson, Kloyee Margaret Anderson and Luke Justin Anderson.

Visitation services will be held 5:00~6:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery; 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler, North Carolina 28715, with Reverends James I. Walker and Joel Glenn officiating.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.
