Helen, known as Nellie, was a member of the Baha'i Faith from it's earliest days. She was one of the first Baha'is to live in Arizona. She was one of the first women elected to the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States, and she pioneered to Monaco, in response to the Ten Year Crusade goals and was named a Knight of Baha'u'llah. She died in Monaco, at age 85, and was buried with other members of her family in Chicago, Illinois.
