Harry E. Huey Jr., 87 of Nashport died at 1:40 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of Central Ohio.

He was born on June 16, 1928 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Harry E. and Zella Pollock Huey.

Harry was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church a Korean War Army Air Force Veteran. As a young man he had worked at several potteries and also as an auto mechanic. Harry retired in 1986 as a machine repairman for Rockwell International in Newark Ohio. After retirement he worked as a greens keeper at Raccoon Golf Course in Newark. Harry was an avid golfer, woodcarver, vegetable and flower gardener.

He is survived by his wife Helen S. Schneider Huey, a daughter, Lisa K. (Michael) Havens of Zanesville; 2 granddaughters, Corissa "Corrie" (Keith) Fulton and Maria (Mike) Johnson; 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great gandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Ruth Rope and Betty Trott and 4 brothers, Russell, Warren, Harold and Raymond.

No public visitation will be observed and a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 26, 2016 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry Kudart officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
