Born Feb 25, 1947, in Rogers, Ark. he was the son of Jewell Buck and Lola Leroy Buck and had been a lifetime area resident. Mr. Buck was a former employee of Brand-Rex, working there until 1991.
He and his wife Linda began operating the Salvation Army store in 1991 and continued there until June 1994. Mr. Buck was a veteran of the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his by his father, Jewell Buck, and two brothers, Paul Don Buck and Gene Buck.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Johnston Buck of the home; his mother, Lola Buck of the home; one son, Layton and his wife Diane Buck of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one daughter, Anita Buck of the Moseley community; one grandson, Colton Ray Buck of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three brothers, Bob Buck of Watts, OK., Gerald Buck of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Ronnie Buck of Siloam Springs, Ark; one sister, Della Crittenden of Watts, OK.; one brother-in-law, David Hoit of Cambridge, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a numbers of cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 10 am Wednesday, March 22 at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs with Rev. Ray Chambers and Rev Danny Fudge officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, with services under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
