YAKIMA - Charles Bradford, our loved and one-of-a-kind dad and grandpa, passed away on October 31, 2005 at the age of 93. He lived through the best of times and the worst of times growing up during The Great Depression, leaving the family farm at the age of 14 to care for himself and continued to question, learn and educate himself. Charles was born in Lemmon, South Dakota in 1912 and was one of eight children born to Agnes and Cress Bradford. Throughout the 20s and 30s he worked at various jobs from wheat harvest to pea harvest to apple harvest to driving a semi from Yakima to LA for two years hauling fruit. He headed westward in 1936 with two friends in a Willys-Knight stopping in Wenatchee and then hopped a freight train to Spokane. …(Partial Obituary)
