Ina Bowman Oran, 81 of Kingston passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 10, 2016. She was born to Samuel Lewis and Lola Crouch Bowman of the New Hope community on the family farm on March 21, 1935. She was a graduate of Roane County High School and Tennessee Technological Institute where she obtained her Ed. S. which she used while teaching Health and Physical Education as well as Biology for more than 40 years at Roane County High School. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Kingston Yellow Jackets and the Tennessee Volunteers. She was a lifelong member of Caney Ford Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Ina was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Lola Bowman; brother, Warren Bowman; sisters Jean Bowman and Mary (Tee) Bowman Alexander; and niece, Kathy (Bowman) Cole.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Tway L. Oran.

Funeral 2pm Wednesday October 12, 2016 in the Kyker Chapel with the Rev. Taylor Phelps officiating. Burial to follow in Kingston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm Wednesday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston
