Son of Sarah Elizabeth Gilliam and Henry Bernard Stein. Husband first to Ada Eblen, with whom he had two children, Zida M. and Ivan Dwight. With Ada and children he moved from Peace Valley, MO, to Craighead County, Arkansas, where Ada died. In 1941 he married his second wife, Lexie Ozell Bennett Gilliam. Jim died from a heart attack on his farm in Peace Valley. After his death his body was shipped back to Arkansas where he was buried next to Ada. Lexie is buried next to her first husband in New Hope Cemetery, Peace Valley, MO.

He was my granduncle.
