Isham K. Crews enlisted in the Confederate States Army on 27 May 1864 in Lake City, Florida. He was mustered as a Private the same day into Company G, 1st Florida Reserves Infantry. He took Oath of Allegiance on 17 May 1865 in Madison, Florida.

Isam Crews, aged 84, died at the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Home on Talleyrand Avenue Wednesday night after a brief illness. He was a native of Georgia, but for a number of years had been a resident of Jacksonville and three years ago went to the Confederate Home to reside.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ella Ribron of White Oak, Ga., Mrs. Mary Head of Waverly, Ga., Mrs. Mary Stevens of Jacksonville, and Miss Bessie Crews of Jacksonville and one son G. Crews of Everett City, Ga.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning from the funeral home of Burns & Clymore, 45 West Church Street. The Rev. E.O. Heath pastor of First Methodist Church will conduct the services.

Interment will be in the Confederate plot in the Old City Cemetery.
