GILTNER - Leslie L. Benson, 75, a lifelong resident of the Gilner community, died at his home in Giltner Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Giltner Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Cain officiating. Burial will be in the Giltner Cemetery. Visitation will be ...at the Higby Mortuary in Aurora.

Mr. Benson was born Oct. 16, 1891, near Gilner, a son of Howard and Cornelia Benson. He farmed most of his life and lived on the same farm for 49 years. He was married to Theodosia Sharp on Feb. 28, 1915. The couple retired from the farm and moved into Giltner in June, 1965.

Survivors, in addition to his widow, include one daughter, Mrs. Echo Bremer of Giltner; one brother, Clifford of Omaha, and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Kemplin of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Pearl Weller of Grand Island.
