Ed was the son of Civil War Veteran, Charles Thomas G. HENDERSON, and his second wife, Mary Matilda COOK. Mary and Charles had 9 children together, and Charles also had 9 children by his first wife, Sophia WEHR who died along with 7 of their children before Charles married Mary.

Ed married Blanch Harriett BRONSON, May 12, 1906 in Jackson, Jackson Co., Michigan.

They moved to Pomona, Los Angeles Co., California in 1911 along with several of Ed's relatives. They had no children of their own, but helped raise Ed's late brother's, Clayton HENDERSON's, son Kenneth HENDERSON after Clayton died.

After going to California Ed and some of his brothers had their own business as fumigators in the citrus groves. In 1928 Ed and Blanche moved to a 3 story home on an 80+ acre citrus grove in Cucamonga, CA where they lived out their life until Blanche died in 1955, just a short time before their 50th anniversary. Ed took her death very hard so one of his brothers Delbert HENDERSON and his wife Louisa REYNOLDS HENDERSON moved in with him for a short time to take care of him. Ed and Blanche were much loved and sorely missed by the HENDERSON family.

Ed married has second wife the former, Mrs. Evelyn KLUSMAN on Nov. 10, 1956.

Ed and Blanche are entombed together in the Pomona Cemetery Mausoleum.
