Alys was born in Verona, N.Y. on Feb. 1, 1930 to Albert and Emogene (Esch) Herman. She graduated from Verona High School in 1947 and married on May 22, 1948. She lived in Verona where she was a member of the Eastern Star. Alys moved to Deerfield Beach, Fla. in 1957 where she lived for 35 years, lived briefly in Okeechobee, Fla. and moved to Sebring, Fla. in 2000. She graduated from Broward Community College in 1970 and was a registered nurse at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla. until retiring in 1992. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ernest Robert Butler; daughters, Nancy Korsman of Lake Worth, Fla., Lillian (David) Anguilm of Simpsonville, S.C. and Diane (William) Mullane of Center Moriches, N.Y.; granddaughter, Kristine Mullane; grandsons, Michael (Kimberly) Anguilm, Robert (Lisa) Anguilm, Steven (Julie) Korsman, and Dr. Andrew Mullane (Greg Baldasaro); great-grandchildren, Corbyn Anguilm, Tehgan Anguilm, Chase Anguilm, Mason Anguilm, Harmon Anguilm, Landon Moffitt, and Erik Korsman; brothers, Fred (Ginny) Herman and Arthur Herman; sisters, Alberta Herman and Doris McClintock; brothers-in-law, Richard (Rose) Butler and William Rowe; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Dunbar and Joyce (Ken) Tallman; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert Korsman, sister-in-law, Irene Rowe, and brother-in-law, Joseph Butler. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Alys' honor be made to the charity of your choice .
