Visitation will be held at King Solomon Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson St., Louisville, KY, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 15, with the service beginning at noon. Burial will take place Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery located in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Gregory E. Thornton, 58, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 10, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. Gregory was born February 22, 1958 to the late Percy Parham and Ernestine Thornton Nunley. Gregory devoted his heart to the Ministry of Music. He was of the Baptist Faith. Gregory worked for many years as an engineer for Colgate/Palmolive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Nunley and brother in law Charles Hardesty.
Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 32 years, Nancy Ann Thornton; three sons, Tristan Lee Day, Akeen E. Thornton and Akyle C. Thornton; three daughters, Letita A. Bailey, Alexia M. Thornton and Ahyenday Q. Thornton; four brothers, Eric Nunley, George Nunley, Mario Antonio Holbrook and Michael Parham; three sisters in law, Vontresa Bailey, Sandra Hardesty and Eunice L. McGuire; three sisters, Cathy Nunley, Kelly Nunley and Vanessa Parham-Brown; brothers in law, Troy Bailey and George Bailey. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Reginald, Ravaun, Renayah, Araelyn, Mila, Jayden, and Anaila; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
