Alice Rebecca (Hill) Lovelace was born in June 1860 in Allen County, Kentucky, the daughter of John W Hill (1832-1903) and Elizabeth Jane (Pope) Hill (1835-1903).

She was married about 1882 to John Wesley Lovelace (1854-1931), the son of James Lovelace and Sarah (Cole) Lovelace.

Living at 1009 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee, she was 76 years old and a widow when she fractured her hip on November 5, 1937 at Davidson County Tuberculosis Hospital and died the same day of generalized arteriosclerosis. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery.
