Born in Brecknock Township Lancaster County he was the son of the late Christian and Elizabeth (Weber) Good.
He will be missed by his loving wife Dorothy (Ziemer) Good with whom he shared 63 years, and his four children, Linda Sauder (Randall), Dennis Good, Robert Good (Ruth) and Cindy Diem (Frank), and is predeceased by a son Timothy Good.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is survived by three brothers Daniel Good, Alvin Good and Earl Good. He was preceded in death by his sisters Anna, Ruth, Esther, Betty and his twin sister Martha, and a brother Christian.
Marvin’s passion for archery, hunting, stock and sprint car racing, and snowmobiling also became passions for his children. In 1984 he achieved the title of State Champion of the Pennsylvania Archery Association and won many Regional awards over the years. He was a member of Chestnut Hill Field Archers and Ephrata Bowmen.
His strong religious faith led him to Pine Grove Church in Bowmansville.
At a young age he began working and perfecting his skill as an auto body repairman for various shops, starting his own business in 1969 until 2005 where he took great pride in his work. He also worked part-time for NAPA retiring in 2011.
A special thanks to Dr. Sieber and the staff at Lancaster Urology for his care over the years, and the staff at Maple Farms Nursing Center for their care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21 at 10:30 am at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville, with the Reverend Jonathan Yoder officiating. Interment will be at Center Union Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 20 at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and on Friday, October 21, 2016, at the Church, from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
