Laura Coppock Stellmon (Age 89) Went to be with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, on December 16, 2006. She was born August 27, 1917 to Lloyd and Olive Coppock of Athol, Idaho. Laura graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Idaho in 1938 then went to teach high school at Athol, Idaho. She also did clerical work at Farragut Naval Base during World War II. Laura and Erbin Glem Stellmon were married July 17, 1942 and began wheat farming in the Athol area, continuing for many years.
Laura was preceded in death by a son, Russell; her husband of forty years, Glem Stellmon; and a brother, Kenneth Montgomery Coppock. She is survived by daughters, Edie Stellmon and Jeanette Stellmon Tallent; grandchildren, Nathan, Kirsten, and Megan; and a sister, Claire Coppock Peterson.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Athol Baptist Church, Highway 95. Burial was at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens with YATES FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements. The family prefers memorials to Anna Ogden Hall, 2828 W. Mallon, Spokane, WA 99201; Anchor House, 1609 Government Way, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814; or Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E. Trent Ave., Spokane, WA 99202.
