Son of Donald Wayne Kitchens and Alma Joyce Collier Kitchens. Born with Retinblastoma Cancer which was discovered when he was 8 months old. He received medical treatment for many years at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He was totally blind by the age of 5. Despite his handicap, he was intelligent. Played the violin, piano and cornet. Had a passion for pumpkin pie. At the time of his death, he was a student at Alamo Junior High School, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. Cause of death, Ostengenic Scarcoma Cancer.
