PARENTS: Rev. T. R. and Mrs. Althea (Kirst) Adascheck

Rebecca “Becky” Finney (nee Adascheck) was called home by her Savior on Thursday, October 13, 2016, in Yakima, WA, at the age of 66. “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Becky was born on August 3, 1950, in Yakima, WA, to Rev. T. R. and Mrs. Althea (Kirst) Adascheck, as the first of their two daughters, and was brought into God’s kingdom through baptism shortly thereafter.

Throughout her adult life she served many people as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and extended her sincere care for others to her family, friends, and pets.

In her retirement she dedicated her time to and found great comfort in studying God’s Word, volunteering for, and spending time with her two church families; as well as gardening, walking, and checking up on her niece and nephews.

Becky is survived by her niece, Kristen; nephews Tim (Vanessa), Sam (Kyara), and Isaiah; her brother-in-law Jeff (Lynne); and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Deborah (Jeff) Koepsell; and her fiancé Michael Day.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 20, at Redeemer Lutheran Church (10203 W. Tieton Drive, Yakima), with a reception to follow.

“Blessed are those who die in the Lord.” (Revelation 14:13)
