Hyun Sook “Sue” Riley, Oakland, lost her ongoing battle with cancer and went calmly and peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016.

Born on Nov. 20, 1961, in Seoul, South Korea, she was a daughter of the late Col. James and Frances Riley, formerly of Oakland, Maryland.

She was a 1980 graduate of Southern High School, and was very imaginative, creative, and artistic. She loved animals, especially the family’s various pets, including dogs, cats, horses, sheep, chickens, and geese.

She is survived by her sister, Fran McCaskill, and her husband Jack, Montreat, N.C.; her brother, Jack Riley and his wife Libby, Oakland; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cindy’s Fund or the Dove Center in Oakland.

Interment will be in the Georgetown Cemetery, Pottsboro, Texas.

NOTE: Her ashes were buried by her father, no stone yet.
