Aaron Jackson Christian 24, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. The Ironton, Ohio native was born January 31, 1992, the son of Jack and Carrie Christian of Ironton and Leah Rae Osborne of Ironton.
 
Aaron was a 2010 graduate of Ironton High School and attended the Collins Career Center Police Academy. He was a Chesapeake Police Officer and a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Ironton. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, being outdoors and spending time with family and good friends. His main goal in life was being a good father to his only daughter Alaina Brooke Christian and to service the public as a police officer. He never met a stranger, once he knew you, you were a friend for life and you could count on a big hug the next time he met you.
 
He was preceded in death by his,
grandmother, Donna Osborne
grandparents, Wad and Jan Christian
sister, Nikki Christian
 
In addition to his parents, he is survived by:
a daughter: Alaina Brooke Christian and her mother, the love of his life, Megan Fields
brothers and sisters: Jason, Keela, Tyler, Kyle, Kelsey, Isaiah, Gracie, Jade, Merrilyn, Robbie, Tasha, Jake, and Tyler D.
his grandfather, William Osborne and grandmother, Betty Webb
also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
 
Visitation and Funeral Services were held at the Ironton High School with the Rev. Steve Harvey and J.D. Crockrel officiating. Burial followed in Woodland Cemetery.

Chesapeake Police Department's Patrolman Aaron Christian succumbed to injuries sustained in a single vehicle crash on September 18th, 2016, at approximately 2:30 am.

He was traveling south on the 3900 block of Route 7 when his patrol car left the roadway. The vehicle struck a tree, utility pole, and guardrail before overturning in an adjacent creek. Patrolman Christian was ejected from the vehicle and landed face down in the creek. Two citizens who witnessed the crash pulled Patrolman Christian from the creek and away from the burning vehicle.

Patrolman Christian was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, where he remained until succumbing to his injuries on October 18th, 2016.

Patrolman Christian had served with the two-person Chesapeake Police Department for one year and had previously served with the Coal Grove Police Department. He was survived by his daughter.
