Neil F. Shell

Neil F. Shell, 84, Everest, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, at a Topeka Hospital.

Mr. Shell taught in Kansas City, Kan., schools before he retired. He served in the Navy on the USS Michigan during World War I.

He was born Dec. 18, 1899, at Effingham, the son of Thomas B. and Frances E. Killam Shell.

He was married to Viola Crofoot Sept. 3, 1929, at St. Joseph Mo. She died Dec. 19, 1979.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Veva Parker, Holton, Mrs. Lona Jensen, Everest, and Mrs. Susie Teel, Mena, Ark.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Holton. Burial will be in Sabetha Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 9 p.m. today at the mortuary. Contributions may be made to the Neil Shell Memorial Fund yet to be designated by relatives and sent in care of the mortuary.
