Carol M. Rice, 75, of Pearl City and Wahiawa, an Army retiree, died in Honolulu. She was born in Massachusetts. She is survived by daughter Courtney Turner, brothers John and Michael, and sisters Rosemary Williams, Joanne Rice and Barbara Scanlon.
Carol wanted to be cremated, and did not want a formal funeral. We scattered most of her ashes on the North Shore of Oahu. A few ashes were also scattered near a horse ranch on the North Shore, since she loved horses.
