He was married on October 11, 1911 in Davidson County to Myrtle (Schisler) Connor (1889–1981).
A tire dealer living at 3203 Long Blvd, Nashville, he was 47 years old, married and diabetic, with cirrhosis of the liver when he died at home on December 21, 1937. Burial was two days later in Calvary Cemetery.
