MILLINOCKET - Carole E. Kittrick, 69, died at a Lincoln healthcare facility, with her husband of 50 years by her side, on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003. She was born Dec. 31, 1933, in Millinocket, the daughter of Nazare E. and Ruth (Clark) Bouchard.

Carole was a lifelong resident of Millinocket, where she graduated from Stearns High School, Class of 1951. During her years at Stearns High School, she participated in the high school band as a flutist and was chosen for the All New England Band. She was an excellent seamstress and made ceramic dolls. She also ran a dance studio in the early 50's. Carole enjoyed times at camp on Millinocket Lake, loved horses and horse shows, and tea on the porch with Mary. She was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Millinocket Emblem Club and a member of the First Congregational Church of Millinocket.

She is survived by her husband, Leo L. Kittrick Jr. of Millinocket; two sons Leo L. Kittrick III and wife, Mary, of Millinocket, and Thomas E. Kittrick and wife, Mary of Millinocket Lake; two daughters, Kathy and husband, Jeff Budden, of Winn, and Susan Kittrick and friend Mike Clark, of Millinocket, 12 grandchildren, Andrea, Tommy, Paul, Sarah, Marissa, Jenny, Lucy, Bethany, Michael, and Kathryn, Josh, and Travis; four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Casey, Jaimyn, and Devon; two sisters, Maryruth Reed and Joan Thorpe; and sister-in-law, Mary "Ticker" and husband Bob Simpson all of Millinocket, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Norman Rust officiating. If friends wish, gifts in Carole's memory may be made to the Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket or to the First Congregational Church of Millinocket Memorial Fund.
