Brownie "Penny" R. Snyder, 85, of Norton went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, September 13, 2016. Born in Ethridge, TN to B.D and Hautie Ashworth on February 18, 1931; Penny moved to Akron, OH in the early 1950's and met and married the love of her life Dick Snyder in 1955. She worked and retired from Acme with 30+ years service.



Penny was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Amish Country, gardening, flowers and most of all spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all.



Preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Hautie Ashworth; loving husband, Charles R; four brothers and one sister; she is survived by her daughters, Julie (Harry) Fincher, Jill (Chris) Hodges; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother- in-law, John Springer and sister-in-law, Joanne Snyder and many nieces and nephews.



Friends may call TONIGHT from 5-8 p.m. at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2016

at Hope United Methodist Church, 2650 Cory Ave, Akron, OH 44314 with Pastor David McGrath officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time on Friday at the church.

Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
