Irene Camargo, 79, of Weatherford, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady, Texas. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady with interment to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

Irene was born on April 16, 1938 in Brady, Texas to Genero Camargo and Francisca (Garza) Camargo.

She spent most of her life living in Brady later moving to Lubbock where she spent forty years. Irene worked in the food service division of Methodist Hospital in Lubbock for over 20 years. She loved to work in her yard but the most joy in her life came from caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as spending many hours visiting with her family. She loved to travel and saw many beautiful sights along the way. Most of all, she was an awesome Mother to her seven children and many grandchildren as well as great grandchildren. She loved raising red roses in her yard and her favorite color was purple.

She is survived by 5 sons; Manuel Flores and wife, Amanda of Sweetwater, Mike Flores of Brady, Raul Flores of Lubbock, Daniel Flores and wife, Minerva of Lubbock, Gabriel Flores and wife, Maria of Temecula, California as well as 2 daughters; Gloria Vega of Lubbock and Carmen Valdez and husband, Jerry of Weatherford, 1 brother; Tony Camargo and wife Sandra of Lubbock, two sisters; Hope Bass of San Antonio, Sally Zapata of Brady along with grandchildren and great-children.,

She is preceded in death by her parents, Genaro Camargo and Francisca Camargo, sister, Rita Lopez, sister, Olga Morin and brother, Genero Camargo.
